Quick Summary
This Privacy Policy applies to the public CitrusGate website, the Decision Friction Brief order flow, and related communications about that service. It covers information collected directly on CitrusGate pages, through the brief intake, and through the hosted checkout used to pay for the brief.
If you move from CitrusGate to a third-party service such as Stripe-hosted checkout, that provider may process information under its own terms and privacy practices in addition to this policy.
CitrusGate may collect information you submit directly, information related to checkout and payment verification, and limited usage and technical information generated when you browse the public site.
If you contact CitrusGate, start checkout, or submit the brief intake, we may receive your work email, company name, company website, your name, and any context you choose to include about the buying decision, competitors, constraints, deadlines, or notes.
When you buy the brief, Stripe handles the hosted checkout. CitrusGate receives order and verification information needed to confirm payment and operate the service, such as order IDs, payment status, checkout session identifiers, and the work email submitted for the order. CitrusGate does not store full card numbers.
The public site uses a first-party anonymous visitor identifier and related analytics events to understand pageviews, referrer hosts, campaign tags, rough device and viewport categories, and CTA interactions. We may also receive routine technical data such as request headers and logs needed to secure and operate the site.
CitrusGate uses information to operate the site and fulfill the brief service. That includes:
CitrusGate may use model providers to assist extraction, ranking, and drafting inside the Decision Friction Brief workflow. Submitted buyer context may be processed by those providers only as part of producing the ordered brief and operating the service.
CitrusGate does not publish submitted buyer context on the public site as part of normal operations and does not intentionally use it to train CitrusGate public site materials. Third-party model providers may process submitted context under their own API or business data controls and retention rules while the ordered brief is produced. Do not submit secrets, credentials, regulated personal data, or materials you do not have authority to share. If your company requires an NDA or a model-processing restriction before sharing context, email [email protected] before purchase.
CitrusGate shares information only where the service requires it or where law or security obligations make that necessary.
We share information with service providers that process checkout and payment events, including Stripe, when that is necessary to take payment, prevent fraud, and confirm the order.
We use service providers to host the site, run storage and databases, deliver files securely, and support day-to-day technical operations. They may process information only as needed to provide those services to CitrusGate.
We may use analytics providers to run first-party site measurement. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, or work with professional advisers handling legal, tax, accounting, or compliance matters.
CitrusGate uses a first-party cookie named citrusgate_anon_id to distinguish repeat visits and connect basic analytics events. The site also uses session storage in the browser for attribution state. Stripe-hosted checkout may use its own cookies or similar technologies to operate checkout and reduce fraud.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you block some cookies or browser storage, parts of the browsing or checkout experience may work less smoothly.
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for Do Not Track signals, CitrusGate does not currently change the site’s behavior in response to them.
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, complete the brief, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can promise absolute security.
CitrusGate does not sell or rent personal information. We also do not run third-party behavioral advertising networks on the public site.
CitrusGate is designed for business and work-use contexts, not for children. We do not knowingly offer the site or service to children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
