# FAQ for buying a Decision Friction Brief
The short version: one live B2B software decision, one $1,500 private brief, 3 business days after payment verification and complete intake, no required call.
## Fit and scope
### Who is this for?
The initial offer is designed for B2B software teams dealing with multi-stakeholder evaluation, especially when a PMM, product, GTM, or executive lead needs fast clarity on why buying decisions are stalling.
### Who is this not for?
It is a poor fit for teams looking for battlecards, a generic benchmark deck, a workshop-heavy first engagement, or a full win-loss interview program as the first step.
### What if I do not know my real competitor set yet?
That is a normal starting point. One of the main jobs of the brief is to tighten the decision frame and separate real blockers from category noise.
## Payment and delivery
### How do payment and delivery work?
Before Stripe, CitrusGate captures work email, company URL, and the live stalled decision. After payment, you can add the rest of the intake. Private delivery arrives within 3 business days after payment verification and complete intake.
### Do we need a call to start?
No by default. The first offer is intentionally asynchronous so the purchase can happen with minimal friction when the fit is clear.
### What do you need from me?
Before Stripe, CitrusGate needs work email, company URL, and the live stalled decision. Alternatives, suspected blocker, deadline, and other constraints can be added right after payment.
### What format does the brief arrive in?
Delivery comes through a private access link with a markdown brief and PDF export. The object is meant to be a short internal memo the team can forward without turning it into a deck or workshop.
### Can this be handled inside normal company admin?
Yes in the common card-purchase path. Receipt is issued automatically, and company invoice is available on request before purchase.
## Refund and quality floor
### What is in the brief?
The brief identifies what is primary, what is merely adjacent, which tempting move should be ruled out, and which next step is safe to take now.
### How is this different from competitive intelligence software or a generic competitor audit?
The aim is not seller enablement or exhaustive market monitoring. The aim is one private internal artifact that improves one concrete decision by making buying friction, no-decision risk, and overreaction traps easier to see.
### Is the brief customer-facing?
No. The output is designed for internal use by the team making the decision. It sharpens internal judgment rather than becoming external marketing collateral.
### What if the delivered brief misses the live decision I submitted?
The brief does not guarantee agreement or deal outcome. But if the delivered brief does not address the submitted live decision or misses the promised structure, CitrusGate will revise it once or refund the order.
### What happens after the brief?
Nothing broader is presumed. If the first brief surfaces a repeatable need for ongoing monitoring and interpretation, CitrusGate can scope a separate monthly continuation later. The first purchase is meant to stand on its own.
## Confidentiality and model processing
### Will my company appear publicly on CitrusGate?
The default assumption is no. The public portal is designed to publish the pattern layer, not raw company-specific research.
### Does CitrusGate publish the same internal research detail used behind the scenes?
No. CitrusGate publishes only public-safe derived artifacts that stay useful after company detail is removed.
### Do models process submitted deal context?
Models may assist extraction, ranking, and drafting inside the CitrusGate workflow. Submitted context is used to produce the ordered brief, is not republished publicly by default, and is not intentionally used to train CitrusGate public materials. Third-party model providers may process submitted context under their own API or business data controls and retention rules. Do not submit secrets, credentials, regulated personal data, or materials you do not have authority to share.
### Does submitted context train models?
CitrusGate does not intentionally use submitted buyer context to train public materials. Submitted context may still be processed by third-party model providers under their configured API or business data controls and retention rules while the ordered brief is produced. If your company requires a stricter provider or retention boundary, email before purchase.
## Public proof layer
### Why have a public research layer at all?
Because it makes the quality of thinking visible before purchase. Dispatches, blocker pages, and the specimen briefs act as the public trust layer around the paid work without leaking private operating detail.
### How can the corpus grow quickly without pretending every company got a full brief?
Because the public corpus is a reviewed denominator, not a list of paid engagements. CitrusGate screens public product, pricing, proof, and rollout surfaces broadly, then publishes only what survives abstraction and review.
### What does a public signal mean?
A public signal means a meaningful commercial clue was visible on a public surface. It does not mean the pattern was primary in that company, and it does not mean the company bought a brief.
### When does operator judgment enter?
Operator judgment enters when recurrence is ranked, interpreted, and narrowed into a dated memo, blocker page, or private brief. The public layer proves the pressure exists. The paid brief decides what matters most in one company.
### Why might published counts be smaller than CitrusGate's internal research?
Public counts refer to the currently published public-safe cohort, not the full private research corpus. The site only claims what has been reduced, reviewed, and published as the active public batch.
### Are the example briefs client testimonials?
No. The example pages are public-source specimen briefs built from real companies in the current corpus. They show the diagnosis standard before purchase, but they are not a paid-client count, a testimonial layer, or a results claim.
